Naturally, if you are not happy with this Privacy Policy, you should not use this website. By visiting this website, you are accepting the terms of this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is a preliminary version and is subject to change.

Types of Information Collected

We retain two types of information:

    "Personal Data"
This is data that identifies you or can be used to identify or contact you and may include your first and last name, email address, country of residence, date of birth and gender. Such information is collected from you only if you voluntarily submit it to us. Of this information, only your first and last name, gender and country of residence are publicly available to all members of the ChewsWize community. Other information including, but not limited to, personal preferences, interests, occupation and education may also be provided and/or posted on the website by you at your discretion. You can control access to your pages and with whom you share information by using our privacy settings.
To invite friends to connect with you on ChewsWize, we will ask you for their email addresses. The email addresses of people that you invite will be used only to send a one-time email inviting them to visit the website. ChewsWize stores this information only to send this one-time email, and to register new users if your invitations are accepted. Your friends may request that we delete this information from our database by emailing hello@chewswize.com
ChewsWize may occasionally use your name and email address to send you notifications regarding new services offered by us. You may opt out of such email notifications. Even if you opt out of all voluntary email notifications, ChewsWize reserves the right to notify you about your account

As part of the ChewsWize Services, ChewsWize's members are required to provide certain information to ChewsWize.

    "Non-Personal Data"
We gather statistical and other analytical information collected on an aggregate basis of all visitors to our website. This Non-Personal Data comprises information that cannot be used to identify or contact you, such as demographic information regarding, for example, clipped or anonymized user IP addresses, browser types and other anonymous statistical data involving the use of our website.

We may provide Non-Personal Data to third parties, where such information is combined with similar information of other users of our website. For example, we might inform third parties regarding the number of unique users who visit our website, the demographic breakdown of our community users of our website, or the activities that visitors to our website engage in while on our website. ChewsWize user accounts are secured by user-created passwords. To this end, ChewsWize restricts access to such user information to those employees who need access to perform their job functions, such as our technical staff.

Updating, Verifying and Deleting Personal Data

You may inform us of any changes in your Personal Data, and in accordance with our obligations under the Hong Kong Data Protection Act of 1996 we will update or delete your Personal Data accordingly.
